I've been contemplating (and have the idea sketched out) for a drop-in
replacement for /etc/rc* that would handle at least ordering/dependancy
issues for a while now.  Probably not the cleanest solution, but
completely drop-in to the current scheme.  I'll drag that out (I think I
ran it through the /dev/null compressor program to save space) maybe this
weekend and see what I can do...
