You know, Telenet Systems is selling the ASUS ncr 875 based card for $119,
it works great, why would you want anything else?

That is, if you're not running a very high powered server.  The
performance is very good, at about half the price of the cheapest Adaptec
cards, and it works fine with FreeBSD (at least under current, I'm _very_
happy with it!)  It comes with both 8 and 16 bit connectors.
