You are right.  You can take the likely out as far as I'm concerned.
The project itself is much bigger than any one company.  WRS will be
able to spend money to buy a few bodies for critical parts of the
system, but they won't be able to change major aspects of the project
without core's approval.  Talking with jkh, I get the sense that WRS
knows that he knows how to run an open source division and they will
be leaving much of the day to day sorts of things up to him.
