It seems we are reaching here to eliminate a perfectly reasonable warning message from the view of people too lazy to rebuild their kernel with fewer devices. Obviously, if each driver lived in a different group of ELF sections, an ELF image archiver could remove drivers at will (assuming a fix to the linker set code for this), and the problem would be resolved. This seems to be the "right way"(tm) to do the fix. Why encourage doing something the "wrong way"(tm) when it will just have to be undone later. I suppose we can all make mental notes to undo it... yeah, that always works; there's no legacy cruft from failed mental noted in the FreeBSD kernel, no sirree!
