For some generic things in this context, it might be interesting to take
a look at
the drafts at http://www.content-alliance.net/ - mainly concerned with
frameworks
for peering at the content layer (between content delivery networks). An
interesting
implementation of the kind is provided by Activia
(http://www.activia.net/).

For another nice implementation, check out the Foundry Network's way.
