I am wondering if installing from a CD in/on a different machine than 
what you are installing on will be better... so you have the CD in 
another machine the is avaliable through ftp/nfs and the installing 
machine brings it off over the net...

basicly I think the problem stemmed from having the floppies in the 
parent of the distributions instead of the distributions...  so it 
wouldn't be able to find the root file system...  Thanks for such a great 
OS...  TTYL..
