I'm about to set up a TV as kind of a public info display, and I'm = wondering what hardware might be best suited. The system will show web pages using Chrome (remote controlled through = chromedriver), so the hardware requirements are moderate. I think I = need a system that: - can drive 1920x1080 through HDMI - can run Chrome smoothly for most web pages - has good stability: - working watchdog - will turn on automatically after a power outage - will turn on when the TV is turned on - stable Wifi as primary network connection - can ideally play h264 video in Chrome without issues - decent mounting option behind a wall-mounted TV Since I will usually only be able to touch the system remotely, system = stability and Wifi/network stability are really important. The Intel Compute Stick seems to be an obvious contender, also a NUC. = Has anyone had practical experience with such a system and can recommend = hardware? ARM or MIPS are also acceptable, as long as the driver = situation is OK. Quality is the major concern, price not so much (budget is about $500).
