Linux Communicator 4.x (which, in my personal opinion, is not particularly
modern) supports JDK 1.1 (which is absolutely not modern).  Linux Netscape 6.01
is dynamically linked against Linux shared objects (which means you would
have to install an entire Linux X/GTK environment just to run the browser,
at which point, why not just run Linux).
