I can=E2=80=99t help but feel that if even half the energy that has gone =
into this discussion were instead directed towards actually *addressing =
the problem*, the problem would be well on its way towards being =
addressed right now.

In other words, the code does not care about this philosophical =
discussion.  If someone wants to have a robust, well-supported API for =
ZFS, then they (the person who wants it, ideally, since motivation is =
9/10ths of the battle) should work on making that happen.

The OpenZFS project has been pretty good about accepting contributions.  =
Its biggest challenge is simply that there aren=E2=80=99t enough people =
volunteering to contribute.  My sensors detect a potential volunteer. :)
