I have two SCSI-2 discs on my AHA-1542CF controller, they are as follows: ID #0 - ST 1480 (406 MB SCSI-2) ID #1 - DPES 31080 (1033 MB SCSI-2 FAST) The problem is that freebsd installation does not even detect the drives. The install menu doesn't have anything on it, none of the functions work. Same drives work okay and show up on DOS and OS/2 fdisk. I have 2 ~200 Mb FAT slices (first one bootable) and OS/2 boot manager on the first drive and one 350 Mb FAT & 120 MB HPFS (bootable) on the second, rest of it is free space where i planned to install FreeBSD. I didn't find anything about problems like this in the FAQ either... i'm totally lost. I expected that the problems would show up later than this in the installation process :). Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.
