Thanks to all You great people, I have now JDK 1.1.5 up and running
on my FreeBSD2.2.5. thanks.

But - the reason why I requested it, was that I would like to get
VRwave (http://www2.iicm.edu/vrwave) or Vrweb (http://www2.iicm.edu/vrweb)
installed.

VRweb is a VRML 1.0 browser, of which the 1.3 version is available as
a FreebSD binary, but the 1.5 is not (closest is a Linux version)
The source is public, and believe me, I have tried a lot to get it
compiled, - but it's been too long time since I had any hands-on
experience in porting stuff, so I am reall somewhat rusty
I have even gone so far as to try using the Linux binary (modload Linux...)
but it fails when it wants to draw on the screen - some shared object fails
- which I am ready to accept, as Linux and FreeBSD are not that alike)

PLEA #1:
Has anyone got the VRweb 1.5 running on FreeBSD, I would be very
very happy - the 1.5 includes editing facilities, - I am getting
a bit tired of using vi() as my VRML authoring tool number One. ;-)

VRwave is a Java/VRML2.0 browser - which shoyld be the successor
of VRweb - but here I am completely out of luck ...
This is what I needed the javac for, - and as soon as I had that,
I could get a little further (beforehand the compilation coredumped
after roughly 127 miliseconds ;-/ )

But I still can't get the Imake/make system to produce much else but
"No such file or directory" errors ... its amazing that this thing
should be compileable anywhere - but again, I'm pretty sure it must
me caused by my fading knowlede of the once so useable Imake system.

PLEA #2:
Has anyone got the VRwave running on FreeBSD, I would be very
very happy indeed.

Both VRweb and VRwave are said to compile under almost any Unix
platform (including SGI, Sun, Dec, HP, IBM, Linux, BSD) and
Windows (NT, 95, 3.x)
