DON'T expect postings to comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc to reach active
      FreeBSD developers. Most of them despair of the signal/noise
      ratio, and concentrate on reading the mailing lists.

DO use Usenet search engines such as DejaNews <URL:http://www.dejanews.com/>;
      to search for information before posting. Searching for error
      messages can be particularly informative.
