No, you can't compare like that...  that's like saying that...  hm, I
dunno if I can pull any contemporary analogies here...
You have to measure it by relative market share.  Raw numbers are fairly
meaningless.
And I don't think Linux by itself has the market share that Unix as a
whole (heck, I'll even include AIX in that category ;) has enjoyed
through much of its history...
