As several people suggested, I tried booting the kernel with -c and doing the pnp init myself, and it (that) worked.
I've been testing the card today, with various and not so good results. Isdntrace works fine and reports all activety on the isdn line correctly. Below you can see the output when I a) pick up the phone b) hang up the phone c) pick up the phone and dial my own number d)get busy signal and hang up the phone
On the other hand, when I try to run /usr/src/i4b/isdntest/isdntest -i mynumber -o mynymber -w I get lots of error msgs. The msgs are included below.
Looks like the driver doesn't work correctly with the asuscom card. But what I find strange, is that isdntrace manages to use the driver and monitor the line, but isdntest won't work. It's very strange to me.
Does anyone have any suggestions ?
Does it look like we need a seperate driver for the asuscom card ?
I would think that only small modifications to the dyanlink driver would make the asuscom card work, wouldn't you?
I also tried with another asuscom card, because I thought mine was fried or something, but with the same results.
