I manage a remote FreeBSD server, a single-user reboot is not at all=
practical. So my question is: how important, and for what reason, is the=
urging to go into single-user mode? On my remote server, I can assure=
that I am the only person logged in, I just cannot get into single-user=
 mode.

Will the 'make installworld' and 'mergemaster' steps not work properly in=
 my scenario?

Thanks.
